On October 24, 2013, a memorial celebration in honor of Steve Bergren was held at the Stanford Memorial Church with a reception that followed at the Stanford Faculty Club. On that beautiful day, family and hundreds of friends gathered to pay their respects and celebrate the life of this wonderful guy. 

 

The tributes that day each rang true with the messsage that, with his warm smile and caring way, Steve found the best in everyone around him and made everyone feel special. The church was filled with hundreds of people that all thought of him as a "best friend."
